Why is a cosmology important? Because it defines why we are here and where we are going.
What is our spiritual purpose? Is it to be comfortable and to find peace? Or is it to shake us out of our slumber to find our real identity. Striped to the core there is no proof of identity, not our names, our occupations, our marital or family status. Our identity emerges when we are ripped raw, uncomfortable and yearning for meaning.
Our spiritual purpose may be defined through freedom and self-direction where sometimes we get lost and, in the wandering, we sometimes find a better path. We use our intuition and are forced to be flexible because we don’t know where the next step lies. It is finding a spiritual connection with the Divine when we surrender ourselves to a universal plan. Being lost allows us to return to our true self, to nurture our souls in the way that meets our needs not as others define them, but as we define them. Being lost and yet knowing we are not alone. Questioning everything we thought we knew because it makes us shudder in fear at what we will find, but maybe that is the true way to evolve our souls.
